Fitzroya cupressoides
Fitzroya cupressoides of the family Cupressaceae, the cypress family

the Southern Hemisphere equivalent of North American redwood. The old-growth stands have been badly overexploited. Listed in CITES, Appendix I, the highest category of protection.
